sleeping baby

Jonathan and I went on a walk Monday evening, The sky was blue, the birds were out, and the kids were playing! It was a gorgeous day in our neighborhood. I was about half way home on our walk and I noticed Jonathan was not playing... I looked down and saw what appeared to be a sleeping baby. I guess I should preface this with the fact that I had in my front carrier, not a stroller. So he was facing out, with his feet dangling. You would think this would be a hard way to fall asleep.... apparently not!

He was completely zonked out!

look at those cheeks hanging over the edge~ HA. I took this picture on our walk with my iphone... not bad!

ahhhh........life is good~

Goodbye Nashville

Dear Nashville,

Goodbye. I will miss you!You were a good home to me and Jon and baby Jonathan for over 2 years. I left lots of good friends, a wonderful ward and yummy food. I will always have fond memories of you. And well, I didn't leave you completely, I still have a mortgage there!

Last week, I flew to Nashville *(I've been staying in Maryland while Jon has been away) to pack up the house. I was there for a whole week, and it was so weird to see my house all packed up. I have to admit, when I walked in my house Sunday evening after being away for 4 months it did feel like home. The weird thing was that I new it would be home only for a few more days. Then I would get to make another house our home. So Wednesday the packers came to pack up the house, then on Friday a big truck came to put all of our stuff, that made our house our home in the truck. Box after box went though my doors. The piano was very interesting to see leave, they first had to get it from upstairs and move it down all the stairs and out the front door. I was cringing the whole time. I REALLY hope the piano is fine, I will check it when we arrive at our new home.

Friday night I spent with my Aunt and Uncle and cousins. It was nice to be with family and they loved playing with Jonathan. Then Saturday afternoon we started our trek back to Maryland.
*side note... so my flight home was taking me through Detroit... weird, I know... the flight happened to be overbooked. So they were asking for volunteers to give up there seats in exchange for a $400 credit. So I went and asked the person at the desk if there was anything more direct to Baltimore, and there was, and I took it! So I get to go somewhere fun!!!!
Oh, and I don't recommend flying ALONE with a baby. I have already flown 3 times with Jonathan, and well I won't be doing that anytime soon if I don't have too. Actually I might just put Jon on an airplane with Jonathan just so he can experience it. You see, he if fine for the first 3- 45 minutes. Then, well... you all know how it goes! Bless his little heart.

I didn't take any pictures while I was back in Nashville... sad. Oh well, I was pretty busy with moving and the baby. He didn't have any of his toys or swings, or bouncy things after Wednesday, so we had a to get creative... and he didn't adjust too well. I am glad to be back at Grandma's house, with lots of people who want to hold him~!

So now the next chapter is opening. We are definitely a Navy family now, and we are off to our first duty station. Most of you know Jon will be based out of Norfolk. We found a lovely town home in Virginia Beach. And YES we have a guest room~ We move in on June 2nd. I am excited to make our new place our home!

That was my adventure last week.. I'm very tired~! But excited for our new adventure!

Nashville Tennessee Flood 2010

This video is... well you will see. Jon and I have lived in Nashville for over 2 years. As I was watching this video I realized that our first apartment as off of West End, and most likely is under water right now. Thankfully our home in Hendersonville is safe.

We went to Dinner with Uncle Bill and Aunt Susan at the Country Club, it was so fun to all be together and hang out. We had a beautiful night, and dinner was nice next to the Golf Course.

So Jonathan has a new trick, he loves to pull up his legs and grab his feet, it's pretty cute, and he does it where every he is... Swing, sitting up in a chair, in his pack and play, so cute!

We got up a bouncy thing from a neighbor, and Jonathan is now 4 months old so he can be in it. I put him in it today and he loved it!

Jonathan and Mommy

Life is pretty great! I love being a mom, especially to Jonathan. I have loved having so much time with Jon as well. It has been fun to just hang out and do the things we used to do together. We are getting ready to move to Virginia Beach, which we are really excited for!
